I had a chance to read this new novel by Frederick forsyth. Uncle Sam suddently decides that cocaine is the new menace and hires Paul Deveraux to fight the menace. He in turn recruits Cal Dexter of the Avenger fame. Both of them hunt through the evil world of cartel in the high seas, in the Africas, the Europe.
As the election draws nearer the Chief of staff looks for a scape goat none other than Paul himself. The war against the cartel draws to a close. The embittered Paul levels with the Don himself and in the final scenario is outwitted for the second time by his second in command Cal Dexter of the 'tunnel rats' fame.
If you had thought that fundamentalism is the new menace, you will give a second thought about the novel description. I was really saddened by the end of Paul. Really, it is the system that is the culprit and Paul.
